Book Review - Fable

Look at this cover! Fable, by Adrienne Young tells a story I haven't heard a million times - Fable was left on an island full of cutthroat divers by her powerful trader father and told to find her own way off. She uses her skills and savvy to buy her way onto a ship captained by West, a young trader who is more than he seems. It's a story full of danger, wildness, and achingly slow-burning romance that kept me up reading hours into the night. Adrienne Young is an effortless storyteller, and her world-building is ridiculously good. The characters are deep and multi-faceted, and the atmosphere... oh, the atmosphere. It's magical and sad and lost and determined. It's also a series, which I always love.
